Our partners and providers

Clinical commissioning groups have been set up to work closely with other organisations involved in health and social care. This is to ensure that together we achieve the best health outcomes for local people.

We work with a range of public, private and voluntary sector organisations involved in commissioning and providing care.

Central London CCG works closely with Westminster City Council on health and social care issues.

From 1 April 2013, Westminster City Council was given a new duty to improve the health of local residents. The public health team that was previously based in NHS Westminster, the primary care trust, moved over to the council, but the CCG continues to work closely with them.

Our close relationship with the council is more important than ever as we move towards delivery of the Better Care Fund (BCF), which is a single pooled budget to support health and social care services to work more closely together in local areas.

The health and wellbeing board is a statutory committee of the council. The board brings together representatives from the council, the CCG and community organisations to work together to improve the health and wellbeing of Westminster's population. The board is responsible for producing a joint health and wellbeing strategy.

Healthwatch Westminster works closely with the CCG to raise awareness among commissioners, providers and other agencies about the importance of engaging with communities. You can find out more about the role of Healthwatch Westminster in the your voice section of this site.
