Engagement & communications strategy 2017-2021

The CCG engaged with a wide range of stakeholders to create its engagement and communications strategy 2017-2021. These stakeholders included Healthwatch, CCG staff, Governing Body Lay Members, patient representatives, healthcare professionals, voluntary and community organisations, and our GP Federation.

Creating the Strategy

You can read more about our journey to create the strategy here.

Based on feedback from stakeholders, we have attempted to keep the strategy short, and include summaries of each section to help make it more accessible. We also understand that the strategy is a live document, which we will work with our stakeholders to review and update.

The CCG's Governing Body reviewed and approved the strategy on 8 November 2017. You can read the strategy here.

Monitoring the Strategy

The CCG are in the process of updating the strategy for 2020-21, with a particular focus on revisiting the objectives set. Given recent changes in the health care landscape stakeholders have fed back taht some of these objectives may not be the most important area for the CCG to focus on. This work is taking place with a task and finish group, who are all volunteers from our CCG Patient Reference Group. Further updates will be posted on this page.
